Padar Island

Padar Island is the third largest island in Komodo National Park, East Nusa Tenggara, Indonesia, after Komodo Island and Rinca Island. The island is located between Komodo Island and Rinca Island, separated by the Lintah Strait. This island also habited by Komodo dragons, offers a stunning natural beauty and is a favorite destination for tourists.

Natural Beauty and Tourist Activities

Padar Island is known for its unique landscape, consisting of towering hills and winding coastlines. One of the main attractions is the climb to the top of the hill on the south side of the island. This challenging trekking journey will be rewarded with spectacular views of three beaches with white, black, and pink sand, as well as panoramic views of Rinca Island and Komodo Island.

In addition to trekking, Padar Island offers other activities such as bird watching, snorkeling, and swimming at Long Beach. To support visitor comfort, Padar Island provides facilities such as a pier, toilets, and stairs. There are more than 800 stairs to go to the top of the island. This island can be accessed by fast boat from Labuan Bajo, with a travel time of around 1.5 hours.

Best Time to Visit

The best time to visit Padar Island is during the dry season, between April and October. During this period, the weather tends to be sunny and the sea conditions are calmer, ideal for outdoor activities such as trekking and snorkeling.
